Looking Back on 2024: A Year to Remember

As we wrap up the year, I love taking time to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished. From individual efforts to big projects, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. Every year seems to blow me away, and 2024 was no exception.

We exceeded expectations in so many ways. Our young team grew faster than anyone could have imagined, tackling challenges like long-term contracts, stricter quality requirements, better time management, shop floor planning, automation, and improved machining practices. It wasn’t always easy—there were ups and downs—but the way our team came together to overcome every obstacle was nothing short of amazing.

  • Quality Team: Led by Jim Honey, our quality department stepped up to meet higher standards with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt.
  • Machinists: They embraced automation, diving into bar feeders and a robot with excitement rather than hesitation—and it paid off.
  • Project Manager: Greg Babineaux jumped into his new role during our AS9100 audit and handled it like a pro. Even though he’s still learning the ropes of this industry, he’s already making a big impact on order review and purchasing.
  • Leadership Transition: This year, Lucas Bulow officially took over as President of MTI, following in his father Chuck Bulow’s footsteps. Lucas has been leading operations for years and is highly respected by everyone. With his technical know-how and vision for the future, MTI is in great hands.

Looking back, there’s so much to celebrate, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team. But as great as this year was, we’re not slowing down. We’ve got big plans for 2025 and beyond, and we’re excited to keep pushing forward.

From all of us at MTI, Happy Holidays!
